Peterborough STEM Festival showcases and celebrates the world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics through a number of free to attend events and fun activities throughout the year. Conceived and founded by the organisers of Digital People in Peterborough, it has grown from 500 visitors in its first year in 2016 to 4000 attendees in 2019.

The STEM festival is an extension of DPiP's mission to inspire young people and encourage them into considering a career within digital, whether it is as a coder, writer, marketeer or designer.

Our core aims include encouraging more girls and young women to consider careers in STEM subjects, which we are proud to do in conjunction with Ada Lovelace Day.

Peterborough STEM Festival also works alongside the IET to provide FIRST LEGO League EXPLORE events for primary school children, ages 6-9 years, and local providers to run STEM challenge days for 9-11-year-olds.
